- Things to Do
The West Cape May Environmental Commission is proud to present 'Golden Eagles, Ghosts of the Eastern Forest' with Dr. Trish Miller. Light refreshments will be served.
West Cape May residents, Dr. Miller and her husband, Mike Lanzone, have been studying Golden Eagles in eastern North America for over a decade. Their work has included banding and attaching GPS telemetry units to Golden Eagles to learn more about the movement ecology of coastal Golden Eagles. "You see Golden Eagles when they migrate, but then they are gone…. like ghosts into the forest," says Dr. Miller. The presentation will cover the ecology, behavior, natural history, and conservation of this enigmatic bird. There will be time for questions after the presentation. Join your friends and neighbors for an enjoyable, informative evening learning about one of North America's largest birds of prey.
