Cape May schedules Election Day vote on $10.5M. hall bond. City officials have set a third town-hall meeting for Tuesday to discuss a new design drafted by architect Kimmel-Bogrette. Cape May – City Council on Tuesday night approved a $10.5 million bond ordinance to build a new convention hall, but any shovels go into the ground, the voters will have the final say. Current location best for Convention Hall. Cape May – Interim city manager Bruce MacLeod gave a presentation on alternanate locations for the new Convention Hall, with all indications the present location would be the best. Cape May Star and Wave 8/21

Bayfront homeowners give more input on outflow. Lower Township – Bayfront residents once again addressed Lower Township Council to voice opposition to a project designed to improve the storm water drainage in low lying areas of the township. Cape May Star and Wave 8/21

Second engineering report in works. Cape May – At the Aug. 14 town meeting, mayor Edward Mahaney said the city would be seeking a second engineering report on the structural stability of Convention Hall. Cape May Star and Wave 8/21

Cape May gets waiver of bond down payment. Cape May – Mayor Edward Mahaney told the audioence at last week’s town meeting that he and interim city manager Bruce MacLeoad were successful in obtaining a waiver for the bond ordinance for a new Convention Hall. Cape May Star and Wave 8/21

Will Seashore Line Be on Time in ‘09? Cape May – With a number of improvements made to Cape May’s transportation/Welcome Center and a never ending shortage of parking spaces here, City Council  to see a train service return. Cape May County Herald 8/20

State Farm, Travelers Drop West Cape. West Cape May – Homeowners here have received letters from State Farm and Travelers insurance companies informing them will not be renewing their policies. Cape May County Herald 8/20

Cape May Tags Sale, Meter Revenue Up. Cape May – This city is having a great tourist season according to revenue figures for beach tag sales and money collected from parking meters. Cape May County Herald 8/20
