I’ve never found gold in Cape May, where have you been looking? I can only find it at Maryann’s Contemporary & Estate Jewelry located on the Washington Street Mall next to the Fudge Kitchen and under Capemay.com! :)
It was probably 1970 on Queen Street Beach, there was a big pile of rocks. I found a large chunk of quartz chocked full of something sparkely, turned out to be fools gold. I still have my rock. :^)
