As someone who worked at the Cape May beachfront as a waitress in the summer and started back to college in the mid-west in September, I always said that this week was the best weather in Cape May!! And, it still looks like it holds true years later. Thanks for those good memories.
It seems fitting in a way that those who actually LIVE In Cape May get the best weeks to themselves. I'm sure it's not easy living with so many tourists in the Summer.
As Hannah's remnants drench us in the PA mountains, I long for last week….. September days on Cape May beaches are to die for. Wishing it would last forever!!!!
My husband had a liver transplant in May. Because of his health problems we couldn't come down this summer. First time we missed coming down in about 15yrs. I talked about Cape May the whole time while he was sick and recouperating. Happy to say he is doing much better and we will see Cape May real soon.
Good luck to you and your husband Theresa. Keep coming back and looking at the pictures. I know it puts a smile on my face and I'm sure it will do the same for you two.
When I was down in CM in July, I bought a photo of this boat in the shop in Carpenter's Lane Mall. It just spoke to me. I smiled when I saw this photo because the one I bought now hangs in my dining room along with photos of my favorite ex-B&B, the lighthouse, and Cove Beach. When I'm in my dining room, I'm surrounded with memories of what I love.
It's not quite over just yet.
looks like someone had a long day on the cape may beach

A classic Cape May shot – I try to get a picture of my kids in front of the life guard boats every year.
