Lovely, peaceful scene… but does anybody know why the church painted/wallpapered over the image of Mary that used to be at the center of the above scene? She stood over a few waves. On my last visit I was so surprised/saddened- and an usher told me it was simply part of a renovation. Wondering if it had been damaged and couldn’t be saved? Thanks for any news.
