The sign of the new season is when Humpty Dumpty is back on his perch. But for now he, the big rabbit, and the alligator are hibernating through the winter months. Nothing says 'a summer night' than a cool round of putt putt, there on that corner. Then a twist cone on the way back home by the moonlight.

My son, Henry and daughter, Abigail, both played there first rounds of mini golf here. Abbie's first time was this past summer. There is nothing like watching an 18 month old trying to hit a little ball with a long stick, while a 4 year old gives her pointers. Those are memories my wife and I will have forever.

My family, one generation or another, has made the trip from Pittsburgh to Cape May all but a few summers since gas rationing was lifted in 1946. My granddaughter and grandson make the fourth generation. Sam, almost 4 months, will make his first trip in early June. I remember when the golf course was a restaurant and shops and my late cousin used to flirt with a waiter whose first name was Jack.

I have great childhood memories playing this mini golf course. I would stay with my grand parents at the Montreal Inn the last week in July from 1977 - 1993. My Mom would stay either at Poor Richards or the Stockton Manor. I loved my Mom but it was a blast to be with my grand parents all week. We'd meet my Mom for dinner then played mini golf here many times. It still warms my heart whenever I see this course and I hope it never goes away. It could use some refurbishing though. The Montreal Inn used to have a mini golf course by it's pool but that is now a tiki bar area. How cool is that. The same area that gave me joy as kid now gives me joy as an adult. Only in Cape May...Where magic happens.
