i love this shot. looks so serene and peaceful. making plans to come down in march. Any B&B suggestions. I have stayed at fairthorne & Virginia *both great * would like to try something new
If you are open to a hotel, I would definately suggest Summer Station. It is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is great. I love it that there is a washer and dryer in each unit so you don’t have to come home with laundry. Just put it in and go out and do your thing in Cape May. They also have a full kitchen including a dishwasher …not the hubby either:) I am now ready to pack a bag and go down. Hurry up April and June!!!!!!!
I agree.. Summer Station is the place to stay, within walking distance to everywhere. Check out the Ocean View for all your meals! Greta food & prices, nice people too!
Is this on the bay? I don’t see any beach. Used to hang out on the bay when I was a teen. They have new benches now, took away the ones we carved our names in!
I may be wrong, but I think this is on the promenade. I also thought the blue was the ocean, but now I think it is the top of a cloud bank along the horizon and the sun has just slipped behind. I loved stealing these moments to sit on that bench. The time of the lovely light, before turning back into the cool breeze as I head back home by the sea….in my mind.
It was a cloud…the sunset was pretty cool that night as the cloud almost looked like a moutain range. My dog and I enjoy walking that time of the evening as you can catch some pretty cool stuff!
Love sitting on the “new” benches at the Bay (Townbank) and watching the sunset. We rent in Townbank for the serenity, quiet (and dog friendlly) beaches, and awesome sunsets. Then go over to Cape May “for all the rest”! Just love the area!!
And….sitting in shorts and flip flops in a few months!!!!!!
All we can say is wish we were there right now! Doesn’t look so cold – spring ahhhhhh can’t wait!

It is hard to beat the Queen Victoria for service and location.
