Cape May Wedding Decor & Favor Ideas

Tablescapes

Here are some decorating ideas that won't break the bank!

  • Inexpensive bowls or glass hurricanes filled with sand and white candles
  • Seashells or pieces of driftwood that you and your fiancé or bridesmaids collect (or send the groomsmen to do it!)
  • Colorful beach towels used as table runners
  • Fish bowls lined with colorful rocks, glass beads, and brightly colored faux coral, filled with water to reflect light

Favors

Since many of your guests may be traveling, we suggest small favors that serve a purpose in Cape May and/or travel well.

  • Mini bottles of sunscreen. Decant bulk sunscreen into small bottles from the craft store. Customize with ribbon and a label with your names and wedding date! (Don't forget to write the SPF and whether the sunscreen is waterproof.)
  • Glass votive holders wrapped in twine for a nautical look or with thin ribbons to match your wedding colors. Use hot glue to hold in place
  • Small boxes of fudge or salt water taffy from a local candy store. Tie with raffia or ribbon
  • Brightly colored sunglasses (especially for kids!)
  • Flip flops
  • Canvas beach bags stamped with shells & your names in washable fabric paint
