What is there to do in Cape May when it’s raining?

Rainy days are often more crowded in Cape May due to an influx of people from nearby shore communities that have less to do when the sun is hidden. Hit the shops along the Washington Street Mall or duck into a restaurant to wait out the rain. If lightning is spotted, lifeguards will close the beaches.

Activities in the off-season

Cape May is a year-round community, and there is plenty going on throughout the year to make your trip memorable, even during the winter. During the holiday season, you’ll be treated to a display of decorations and lights on the historic bed and breakfast inns and along the Washington Street Mall. Visit us after October 31st and parking is free.
