There are a number of area fitness centers that welcome vacationers for an a la carte fee, rather than charging a full membership. Please ask your accommodation for a facility nearest you.

Hotels with fitness centers include Congress Hall, Grand Hotel, La Mer Beachfront Inn, Montreal Beach Resort, and Ocean Club.

Running, Walking & Bicycling

Cape May’s promenade offers beachfront jogging, walking, and bike riding until 10a.m. each day along its nearly two-mile stretch.

If a more challenging terrain is more your style, walk down the beach (walking in sand is great exercise) to Cape May Point State Park and explore the nature trails, or drive to Higbee Beach and climb the dunes and surrounding woods.

Yoga on the Beach

Yoga on the beach and outdoor yoga is available through local hotels and yoga instructors. Ask your accommodations for details.


Pay-per-class Zumba classes are offered in Cape May through the City and local hotels.
