Contacting us through our contact form

When you contact us with a question through the form on our contact page, we ask for the following information:

  • Your e-mail address

We ask for a name so we can personalize our response, and we use your email address to send a reply. Cape Publishing will not publish, share, or sell your personal information to anyone. If you're concerned about privacy, you can always use a nickname and a generic email account.

If you write to us through your mail program (eg. Gmail or Outlook) using an email address you found on CapeMay.com, what personal information you send us it up to you to determine since that's outside of our control.

If you call our office, what personal information you provide is up to you. Generally, people give us their name so we can address them when ansewring questions.

Responses to content

If you email us in response to a blog post or photograph posted on CapeMay.com or our social media, or send an electronic version of a letter to the editor, we reserve the right to publish all or part of your comments in other areas of CapeMay.com, on our social media accounts, and/or in Cape May Magazine, including your full name and location, if given.

If you opt into our mailing list, you are consenting to receive email communication from us. You can opt out of our mailing list at any time through the included links.

Our mailing list is powered by MailChimp, which uses web beacons in the emails they send on our behalf in order to determine if you've opened an email we sent or clicked on any of the links. This data helps us to prune our mailing list. If we find that you haven't opened our recent campaigns and may no longer be interested in hearing from us, we can use that information to take you off of the list. And on the other hand, if we see that you're a big fan of our emails, we'll be sure to keep you active!
