ground cardamom

black pepper

Cup
softened butter
1
Cup
sugar
¼
Cup
dark molasses
1
Egg
Powdered sugar to dust
Instructions
Grease cookie sheets.
Sift all dry ingredients into a bowl. Reserve.
In another bowl, mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses. Beat well.
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients, a little at a time, until dough forms into ball.
Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Form into-inch balls. Place on cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
Remove. Place on rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
