What to do Easter weekend in Cape May

The Easter Fashion Stroll is a Cape May tradition

Our spring weather so far in Cape May has been a back and forth battle between chilling winds, low temperatures and the occasional temporary sunshine and warmth. While the weather may still be a bit unpredictable, we have some solid plans to help you have a great Easter weekend with your family!

Easter Weekend Events

This year, The City of Cape May, the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May along with the Small Businesses of the Washington Street Mall will be sponsoring the Annual Easter Fashion Stroll. Registration for the Easter Fashion Stroll will begin at Noon, and the stroll will begin at 1pm. Judging categories and age groups are: 3 and younger, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 and older, best-dressed lady, man, couple, family as well as best Easter bonnet for youth and adult.  Treats, gift certificates, and ribbons will be awarded to winning participants. After the Easter Stroll, be sure to walk the Washington Street Mall for some special giveaways at participating merchants.

The Annual Easter Keg Roll at Historic Spring Village will be taking place on Saturday, April 20th from 12pm-8pm. Hop on over and sign up to play! Start at the Brewery and ask a tasting room server for your answer sheet. Follow the directions to explore Historic Cold Spring Village for eggs. When you find an egg open it up and answer the question to move to your next clue. At the end, put your answers inside the Easter Kegg. One lucky winner with the correct answers will be drawn on Easter, Sunday April 21st. This lucky winner will get a Free Cold Spring Brewery Growler!

Head on over to the Hawk Haven Winery on Saturday, April 20th at 12pm for their Easter Egg Roll! Individuals of all ages are more than welcome to come to the vineyard grounds to show off their egg-rolling skills for a chance to win a prize! There are many categories one can join, including relay teams, adult teams, family teams, and kid teams ranging from ages 7 and under or ages 8 to 12. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place winner in each category. Some prizes include a Stone Harbor Movie Theater gift card, an iTunes gift certificate, Easter egg baskets and more! The wine bar will be open from 11am-6pm for wine by the glass and by the bottle. Good eats from the roving Mermaid Mutineer food truck will also be available from 12-4pm! The Kiwanis Club of Cape May presents their Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children in the age groups toddlers through 10 years old are awarded prizes for finding the Golden Egg. Congress Hall will be entertaining their Easter Brunch and Egg Hunts on Sunday, April 21st from 9am-2pm. Brunch will take place in the Grand Ballroom, then you can bounce on over to the lawn for a day full of fun family activities. Join the Easter Bunny along with his sidekick, Blue the Pig at our Easter Egg Hunt from 9:30am-3:30pm. Adults $50, children (4-12) $20, and children 3 and under are free. This year, The Grand Hotel is offering a special Easter Kid’s Spring Break. The Grand and EcoVenture’s Kid’s Adventure Camp are teaming up once again to offer great times for the entire family. This promotion is available Sunday, April 14th through Saturday, April 27th, 2019. Where you can enjoy Easter Brunch & Dinner

Bring out the whole family for the second Annual Vineyard Brunch & Easter Egg Hunt at Willow Creek Winery. On Easter Sunday from 9:30am-2pm, Chef Brian Parker from the Southern Mansion of Cape May has teamed up with Willow Creek Farm & Winery to put together a delicious menu to enjoy with the whole family! All guests 21 or older can enjoy unlimited sangria, and all guests under 21 can enjoy a Make Your Own Spritzer Bar! Chef Parker and his team of sous-chefs prepare everything fresh on-site. This incredible menu is sure to delight the taste buds of your entire family! There will be some traditional breakfast classics like assorted baked quiche and an omelet station, lighter options like mixed fruit salad, muffins and scones, delicious honey-glazed ham and much more! After brunch, the Fourth Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Willow Creek Farm & Winery will begin. Purchase a bottle of wine, a filled sangria growler or bring yours for a refill, and have a chance to search for an Easter egg in the vineyard. Everyone who finds an egg will be a winner as each contains a special winery prize! You could win everything from a Wine Tasting for Two Guests ($30 value) to a Private Wine and Cheese Party for Ten Guests($300 value). Must be 21 years or older to participate – One egg per bottle purchase/per adult. The Adult Easter Egg Hunt kicks off at 11am, so get here early before all the eggs have been found! To accommodate all of the families that visit our farm, we are now offering a kid’s Easter egg hunt! This will take place at our Alice in Wonderland garden and will have kid-friendly prizes! Kid’s egg hunt starts at 12pm.

Daffodils are in bloom and tiny chicks are running everywhere. The farm is beginning to come to life as spring arrives. Where better to usher in Easter with a Farm-to-Table Family Brunch at Beach Plum Farm?  We’ll be using ingredients harvested steps from where you’ll be seated for our buffet menu. Enjoy communal seating in our picnic grove and our heated tent. Easter flowers will be for sale, and we will have a spring story-time for the children at 12:30 and 1:30 pm. Rounding out your Easter experience is a hayride for the whole family. Seating times are at 10am, 11am, 12pm & 1pm. $40 per adult, and $15 per child (4-12) plus service fee and tax. Peter Shields Inn will be offering their Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 21st from 11am-3pm. Adults are $40 and children are $25. The three course menu includes items like spring asparagus salad, roasted steelhead trout, eggs benedict and strawberry shortcakes.

Aleathea’s Restaurant at the Inn of Cape May will be offering an Easter brunch from 11:30am-2pm and an Easter dinner from 4pm-7pm. For brunch, adults are $29.95 children age 10 and under are $14.95, and children 3 and under are free. The Easter dinner will be a la carte options. The Grand Hotel is providing an Easter breakfast from 8am-11am, as well as an Easter brunch from 11:30am-3pm. The breakfast menu includes items from scrambled eggs and home fried potatoes to stuffed french toast and waffles. $19 for adults and $10 for children. The brunch menu will include items like jumbo lump crab cakes and stuffed chicken to a prime rib carving station and assorted desserts. $39.95 for adults and $19 for children. The Merion Inn will be having an Easter brunch special from 12pm-8pm. The menu will include some regular items like a roast leg of lamb and cape may scallops along with some Easter specials like eggs benedict with country ham and Maryland crab cake sandwiches.
