Two changes on the 300 block

Beef Jerky Outlet

Earlier this month, the Beef Jerky Outlet opened a pop-up holiday store in Dairy Queen’s location at 320 Washington Street. The outlet’s primary location is next to Lucky Bones, but this one is positioned between Tisha’s and Bath Time for easy holiday shopping.

If jerky isn’t your thing, they have Pumpkin Pie Crunch Popcorn, according to their Facebook page.

And don’t worry, DQ isn’t going anywhere. They got in touch to let us know they will definitely be back open for the 2020 season!

Cape May Sweet House

Across the street, the windows at the Cape May Sweet House are draped with white sheets, and a sign on the door reads:

Thank you for a successful and magical 4 years of sweetness!

The Cape May Sweet House is now closed.

We have loved serving you candies, nuts and chocolates over the years, and will miss all of our happy customers! We hope you found as much joy as we did making memories in this whimsical and historic store.

We are excited for the next chapter of this building. Stay tuned for what comes next!

They posted the same message on their Facebook last month. While we’re sad to be losing the Sweet House, which took over the location after Morrow’s Nut House closed, we’re also excited to see what they’re planning.

The Sweet House opened in 2016. Here are a few photos we had on file of how the inside looked that summer.
