Cape May wineries produce a variety of grapes, from the famed Pinot Noir of Sideways fame to Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, and Riesling. Local Cape May wines are available direct from the wineries and at local liquor stores and some restaurants. Local wine is a great choice when dining BYOB in Cape May.

Take yourself on a self-guided wine tour of Cape May County by starting in Cape May Courthouse and working your way down through Rio Grande to North Cape May to West Cape May. Many wineries allow you to bring your own food for a picnic among the grapevines.

Some Cape May wineries are dog friendly, so call before you go to find out if you can bring your pet with you! The local wineries often feature live music during the summer and offer fruit and cheese plates as well. There are special wine dinners throughout the year at Cape May wineries as well, often in conjunction with our many fine restaurants.
