If you haven’t been there yet, be sure to check out Cape May Peanut Butter Co. the next time you’re in town. In addition to freshly ground nut butters (I love the Honey Roasted Peanut and Sunflower), they also make a classic PBJ, smoothies, and some of the best peanut butter cookies I’ve ever had. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the jalapeno jelly for a twist on an old favorite.
They’re located just off the Washington Street Mall, on Carpenter’s Lane. Did we mention they have outdoor seating in the private garden out back? We can’t wait for warm weather.
This past Sunday was the annual Easter Stroll on the Washington Street Mall.

We thought it would be more fun to play at the beach today instead of going to school. #mentalhealthday

The Beach House, which took over the building formerly known as Henry’s on the Beach, will operate as Angelo’s Restaurant. No scoop on the menu, unless what’s painted above the windows (pizza, soft drinks, ice cream, sandwiches, seafood) will be true again this year.
my cousins and I have spent every summer of our lives in cape may together. One [of] us was even born down here. Cheers’ing at the Ocean Club Hotel in the Summer ’13

The Washington Street Mall is dotted with ladders, caution tape, painters, and construction workers. Ah, the dulcet sounds of hammering and nail guns! It’s not exactly a pretty scene right now, but the town is going to look gorgeous this summer.
On the 500 block, across the street from us, Colors is getting a new coat of paint, and A Ca Mia is improving their exterior.
A block down, Henry’s Landmark Jewelers is receiving a complete facelift (on the backside of the building, too).
The planter benches, which have been a part of the mall since its reconstruction in 2008, are being wrapped in a stone surround for durability (they original white bases weren’t practical, as it turns out, and were pretty scuffed).
The 400 block of Carpenter’s Lane has new brick to match the mall (and its sister blocks on either side), and if you drive down Jackson, you’ll notice a smoother ride; the road has been resurfaced.
And something is going on with the sidewalk in Liberty Way.
We can’t wait for you to see all of the changes!
