Portions of this piece first appeared in “Storm Chasing” in the Fall 2010 issue of Cape May Magazine.
For centuries, observers, both the trained and the just plain curious, have tried to delve into the secrets of the storm. But is there any more obsessive storm chaser than the photographer? Well, perhaps it’s the photographer who lives by the sea. We contacted a few of Cape Island’s photographers and asked them to share some of their favorite storm pictures with us.
Beautiful pictures. We have spent many summers in Cape May and I love it there!
Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed them. :-)
Can we purchase some of them?
Hi, Rebecca: Yes! The two pictures that we took are available in our “Stormy Weather” gallery: http://www.livingthepostcard.com/Around-Our-Island/Stormy-Weather/8496129_vruS5#560134614_6tFip

Wow! What stunning pictures!!! Cape May is my favorite place to come to.
Thanks! We’re so glad we were able to share them!
Holy smokes….a few of those photos don’t even look real! Get any from the storm clouds the first week of August?
Wow!!! They are awesome pictures.
Corey Gilbert’s Photography is amazing! We have 4 of his photos framed on our living room wall. We try to buy one every time we’re in Cape May (which isn’t often enough!).
Love the pictures!!! Makes me miss Cape May even more !!!!
