On Saturday, July 10 the Gail Pierson Gallery hosted an opening reception for Judith Anderson’s new exhibit “Old Trains New Light.”  The exhibit features all new work from Anderson, including paintings and photographs.  The work will be on display through July 31.  For more information about the Gail Pierson Gallery, click here. The annual Fireworks Extravaganza took place on July 4th at 9:00pm on the beach in front of Congress Hall.  The dazzling display brought an enormous turnout and made for the perfect end to a day full of patriotic festivities around Cape May. [nggallery id=30]

Cape May’s annual Independence Parade was held Saturday, July 3rd.  The parade commenced at 1pm outside of Convention Hall on Beach Avenue.  Parade participants included bands, antique cars, fire engines, costumed performers, local groups and organizations, and members of the US Armed Forces. An elegant evening was held at the 18th-19th century Whalers’ Cottages on Batts Lane for the Center for Community Arts. Hosts  Chris and Dave Clemans held a wine tasting event featuring Argentine wines paired with grilled meats and fresh local seafood which was catered by the Washington Inn. [nggallery id=26]

Cape May Stage held its summer fundraiser Saturday, June 19 at the Beach Club. The Sensations played classic summer beach tunes and guests shook, shimmied and danced the night away. [nggallery id=25]
