- Things to Do
Don't let old man winter keep you on the couch. Get out and get to Congress Hall's Grand Ballroom for a night of fun.
Born in the summer of 2016, Orchestral Folk duo Clavicles has spent the last year touring the country and chasing the echoes of beauty. The Cape May, NJ-based duo's music evokes restless winds on an empty winter beach and bayside sunsets with an amalgamation of symphonic string stylings, angelic melodies and bone-chilling harmonies.
Clavicles string arrangements ring of Damien Rice, while an ethereal, aurora borealis-like sound is inspired partly by Sigur Rós. Their unconventional vocal harmonies are reminiscent of Radiohead.
While Clavicles loves building a lush sonic environment, they value lyricism in the emotive and vulnerable vein of Joni Mitchell, The Mountain Goats and Ani DiFranco.
Enjoy a prix-fixe dinner at the Blue Pig Tavern and head to the Ballroom for a night of entertainment and fun with friends.
