The Center for Community Arts celebrated its 15th anniversary with a gala Saturday, September 25 at the Cape May Ferry Terminal. The group wined and dined to the music of the Edgardo Cinton Azuca Band. The evening capped with a silent and live art auction. Prizes were awarded for the best crystal accessory.

This year’s 2nd Annual Cape May Mermaid Guild Neptune Bachelor Auction (boy, is that a mouthful?) held Sunday, September 19 at the Rusty Nail was another rip roaring success – the Mermaids raised $15,000, at last count, all to go toward the Food Bank of New Jersey. And a good time was had by all.

It was fun, food and good music at a recent fundraiser at the West Cape May Fire Hall for the Cape May Jazz Festival. Local crooner Lois Smith entertained and we are all counting down the days until the November fest.
