- Things to Do
The 21st annual Strawberry Festival is being held again this year in beautiful Wilbraham Park (West Perry Street and Broadway) in West Cape May on Saturday, June 1 (rain date June 2) from 9-5.
This much anticipated event features over 100 vendors, all celebrating the official fruit of spring! Enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake prepared by the Cape May Technical High School culinary students whose proceeds benefit their after prom party. Vendors will be offering strawberries in wonderful foods: muffins, cookies, floats, shaved ice, dips, empanadas, ice cream, lemonade and hand crafted sodas. Our top food vendors will return with crab cakes, seafood kabobs, pulled pork, barbeque chicken, hot dogs and sausages.
Shop with our artisans for strawberry pottery, jewelry, tee shirts, honey. wind and lots more! There will be antiques, collectibles, original art, clothing, accessories, bird houses and garden art.
And the strawberry-eating turtles will be back (provided it's not too cold) with the Turtle Singer!
Live music will entertain us all day:
9:00 Bill the Steel Drum Guy
1:00 Five Times Famous
3:15 The Geno White Trio
Singer/songwriter (and teen sensation) Angelina Bella will be joining us throughout the day. The Crowning of The Strawberry Queen and King begins at 3:00. Yes, you could win!
This event is a great way to celebrate the spring and welcome in the summer season!
