Where to eat this Thanksgiving in Cape May

If you’ll be enjoying Thanksgiving Day with us in Cape May, you might not want to spend it in the kitchen. Luckily, some of our best restaurants are open for the holiday. If you do plan to eat out, please make your reservations early since our restaurants fill up quickly. We’ll update this list as we learn about restaurants who are fully booked. Here’s the rundown of who’s serving this Thanksgiving:

Sit-down Thanksgiving dinner

Aleathea’s is offering a holiday a la carte menu, with classics like turkey and crab cakes. They have a full bar and are located across from the ocean inside the Inn of Cape May. Please see this Facebook post to view the Thanksgiving menu. Aleathea’s is filling up quickly, so please call right away to reserve your seating. 7 Ocean Street. For reservations, call 609-884-5555.

The Blue Pig Tavern will offer a three-course, fixed-price menu that includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $45 per person – and yes, you can certainly order a traditional turkey dinner! Or start a new tradition and order the trout. You decide.  The Blue Pig is a cozy restaurant (fireplace!) inside of Congress Hall and offers a full bar menu. Congress Hall will offer their annual Thanksgiving Day buffet in their grand ballroom from 1pm-5pm. $36+ per person for the full buffet. We’ll link to the menu when it goes online. 200 Congress Place. For reservations, call 609-884-6542.

The Ebbitt Room is fully reserved for Thanksgiving. (But if you’re curious what they’re serving, you can see their Thanksgiving menu on their website.)

The Grand Hotel offers a traditional Thanksgiving turkey buffet in their oceanfront penthouse ballroom. Menu items include slow-roasted prime rib, whole-roasted turkey, shrimp and scallop scampi, salmon, plus all of the traditional sides you’d expect – and, of course, pie. Peter Shields Inn is offering a three-course, price-fixed Thanksgiving menu. Bring a bottle of wine (or two!) and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with an ocean view. Entrees include free-range turkey, venison, strip steak, day boat scallops, and tilefish. View the whole menu on their website. $65 adults, $35 children. The Washington Inn is serving Thanksgiving dinner from 1pm-6pm. A la carte entrees include filet, oven-roasted turkey, and vegan options. Appetizers range from $9-15; entrees from $29-44. A plated turkey dinner is $34. The Washington Inn offers a full bar. 801 Washington Street. For reservations, call 609-884-5697.

Restaurants near Cape May

The Harbor View Restaurant is accepting reservations for Thanksgiving dinner. They’ll offer different turkey dishes and a variety of classic stuffing in their waterfront restaurant. Serving from 2pm-8pm. 954 Ocean Drive. For reservations, call 609-884-5444.

The Rio Station in Rio Grande is offering whole-turkey dinners with all of the trimmings, as well as turkey and ham platters. Private holiday parties with custom menus are available! Rio Station has a full bar and plenty of parking; they’re located next to Wawa. 3505 Route 9 South, Rio Grande. For reservations, call 609-889-2000

Two-Mile Landing is offering a four-course, price-fixed Thanksgiving dinner that includes soup, salad, entree, and dessert. Entree selections include a complete turkey dinner, broiled seafood combo, filet, crab imperial, or crab cakes. $42 per adult, including soda, coffee, and tea service. A $10 children’s menu is available (includes turkey with gravy, penne paste, or chicken tenders and a dessert choice). View the full menu on their website. Thanksgiving to go

If you’d prefer to eat at home but want to skip the cooking, the Washington Inn and Lucky Bones offer a Thanksgiving Feast to Go. They’ll prepare enough for a party of twelve for $349 plus tax. The menu includes a 20-lb oven-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, gravy, mixed greens, coffee, and two types of pie. Order by Monday, November 19 by calling the Washington Inn at 609-884-5697. Pickup is at Lucky Bones on November 22 from 11am-12:30pm.
