Where to eat on Christmas and New Year’s Eve in 2018

If you’ll be in Cape May over the holidays, you might be wondering what restaurants are serving on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. We will update this post with additional information as it becomes available!


Where to eat on Christmas Eve

The Merion Inn

The Merion is serving dinner on Christmas Eve from 5-9pm. Enjoy a three-course menu for $65 per person, live piano music by Rich Siegel, who will perform a festive mix of carols, jazz, and show tunes.

Beach Plum Farm’s Farm-to-Table dinner is sold out on December 24.


Where to eat on Christmas Day

The Blue Pig Tavern

Enjoy Christmas specials like quail, beef tenderloin, or a winter casear salad, at the Blue Pig Tavern in addition to the regular menu. They’re serving from 2-8pm on Christmas. Call 609-884-8422 for reservations.

The Congress Hall Ballroom

Congress Hall is offering a Christmas Day buffet from 1-5pm in the ballroom. Choices include chilled salads, warm soups, a carving station, hot buffet, and assorted desserts. Adults $45, children 4-12 $19. For reservations, please call Congress Hall’s concierge at 609-884-6542.

The Ebbitt Room

The Ebbitt Room is offering a three-course Christmas Day dinner with seatings from 2pm to 5pm. The menu includes items such as Sweet Amelia Oystersy, Prime Rib or Maple Ham, and holiday dessert options. $65 per person. Add a wine pairing for $35. For reservations, call 609-884-5700.

The Merion Inn

The Merion Inn is hosting a Christmas Day Benefit for The Branches’ Emergency Fund for the Homeless. Enjoy a fabulous 3 course prix fixe meal. 100% of proceeds from food sales will be donated to the emergency fund for local homeless coordinated by A Voice for the Homeless and The Branches Episcopal Outreach Center. $65 adults, $35 children. Where to eat on New Year’s Eve

The Ebbitt Room

Celebrate the New Year at the Ebbitt Room, which is offering a five-course, fixed-price dinner with seatints from 5pm to 10pm and includes a champagne toast. $125 per person (does not include tax, gratuity, or alcohol except for the champagne toast). For reservations, call 609-898-5700.

The Merion Inn

The Merion has New Year’s Eve seatings at 4:30/5pm (kid friendly), 7pm, and 9:30pm. The first seating offers adults a la carte dining from the New Year’s Eve menu; kids enjoy a two-course meal for $25. There will be a “practice” countdown at 6pm. The 7pm seating is $90 per person for a three-course meal and includes a champagne toast and countdown at 8:15pm. The 9:30pm seating is $100 per person and includes five courses and a countdown to midnight. Tax, gratuity, and additional drinks are not included. View all menus on their website. Peter Shield’s Inn

PSI is offering a five-course, fixed-price dinner on New Year’s Eve. The 5:00 – 6:45 seating is $115 per person; 7:00 – 10:00 $150 per person. For reservations, please call 609-884-9090 or visit petershieldsinn.com

The Rusty Nail

If you want to party until the ball drops, the Rusty Nail is hosting a New Year’s Eve party beginning at 9:30pm with a champagne toast at midnight. The $60 entry fee gets you an open bar and apps, as well as live music from the Dane Anthony Band. Overnight accommodations are available. Tickets are $60 per person and you must be 21 or over. Washington Inn

The Washington Inn is hosting a New Year’s Eve four-course dinner and champagne toast, with seatings from 5-10pm. 5-6:30pm seatings are $90 per person; 6:45-10pm seatings are $115 per person. Price excludes tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended. Please call 609-884-5697.
