Judging a quilt by its cover

Not many marriages are perfect, but one exception might be for the one between creativity and practicality. Among the offspring of this union, one of the most beloved is the American quilt.

Washington Street Mall Fall Sidewalk Sale Underway

  The semi annual Washington Street Mall Sidewalk Sale is underway. It began at 9 a.m. Thursday and runs through Sunday, Sept. 16. Sidewalk sale hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A spring Sidewalk Sale takes place in May – the weekend before Memorial Day. [nggallery id=135]    

Butterflies in Cape May

You might say Cape May is a butterfly mecca. In September you might see as many as 100 different kinds of butterflies. Sometimes you have to look real hard to find them, but on this day, our photographer Michelle Bumm found them right before her very eyes as she took a walk along Beach Avenue.

Martini Beach

We visited Martini Beach twice this spring, and were delighted by its variety of ethnic dishes. While India’s influence is evident, John is democratic about representing other regions such as Asia and the Mediterranean.
