Convention Hall Demolition

Demolition began on November 29 on Convention Hall and the Solarium, making way for a new $10.5 million hall slated for opening spring of 2012. By the end of the week, the buildings were down. Inside: Demolition photo gallery and remembrances of Convention Hall from two former mayors.

Cape May’s Annual Independence Parade

Cape May’s annual Independence Parade was held Saturday, July 3rd.  The parade commenced at 1pm outside of Convention Hall on Beach Avenue.  Parade participants included bands, antique cars, fire engines, costumed performers, local groups and organizations, and members of the US Armed Forces. CBS Evening News Covers Veteran Flag Ceremony at Sunset Beach
